Severely disabled persons who have a severely disabled person's pass with a valid token can travel free of charge.

Disabled toilets

All ships have a disabled-friendly toilet.

Public disabled toilets near the landing stages can be found at:

  • Stegen near the kiosk
  • Dießen at the train station
  • Herrsching near the Kurparkschlössl
  • Utting at the train station

Parking spaces for disabled people

There is a public parking lot for people with disabilities near the following jetties:

  • Tegernsee Bräustüberl
  • Tegernsee Town Hall
  • Rottach-Egern Beach
  • Bad Wiessee Town Center
  • Gmund Seeglas

Do you use a wheelchair, a rollator or other aids? Perhaps you are travelling with a pram or have limited mobility due to an injury.

How do I get to the jetties and the ships?

  • The gangways are easily accessible. In rough seas, you should expect the ships to sway during boarding.
  • Boarding is via a wheelchair-accessible gangway, which is level or slightly sloped depending on the water level. There is a small 5 cm threshold (tripping hazard!) to negotiate. On the MS STARNBERG, MS SEESHAUPT, and electric ship BERG, the gangway leads directly into the main saloon. Only on the MS BERNRIED are there two steps to negotiate.
