Former Tegernsee Monastery

Founded in 746 by Benedictine Monks, it was rebuilt by King Max Josef I. after the secularisation into his summer residence. Today, thirsty travellers get refreshments after their arrival with the boat at the Bräustüberl Pier, in the cosy Tegernseer Bräustüberl before visiting the former Monastery Church of St. Quirinus.

Tegernsee Mountain Trail

Take the boat from Tegernsee to Gmund, then walk back for about 90 mins. over the charming mountain trail to Tegernsee. On your way, you will enjoy magnificent views of the lake and the mountains.

Hiking to Rottach-Egern

First, take the boat to Tegernsee, then walk back for about an hour over the charming mountain trail to Rottach-Egern. A visit to the cemetery in Rottach-Egern with the tombs of the famous writers Ludwig Thoma and Ludwig Ganghofer and the draftsman Olaf Gulbransson is also worthwhile.

Wellness with Lake Sauna

The Monte Mare Lake Sauna in Tegernsee promises pure relaxation. Easy to reach by boat at the "Seesauna" pier. A special feature is the Sauna Boat, which promises a unique view of the lake.
