Large electric motor boat
Königssee Shipping has 19 electric boats that are almost identical in size and design. The shape of these boats has a long tradition and dates back to the early days of motorised shipping on Lake Königssee. The boats have been powered by electric motors since 1909. The batteries are charged overnight and then last for a whole day without recharging.
Each boat is about 20 metres long, 3.5 metres wide and can carry around 93 people. However, there are usually fewer passengers so that there is enough space for rucksacks, prams and comfortable seating. The boats do not have toilets on board.
All boats are built by the employees themselves in their own shipyard directly on Lake Königssee and repaired during the winter months.
Small electric motor boat
The EMB RAMSAU is the smallest vessel in the fleet and was the masterpiece of our shipbuilder. There is only one boat of this size. It is electrically powered and can seat 25 people. The EMB RAMSAU is 9.50 metres long and 2.42 metres wide. There is no toilet on board.
