Group reservation
Planning in advance:
- Due to high demand, groups of 20 or more should register early – ideally at least 3 days before the trip. This will allow you to start at your desired time without long waiting times.
- Contact: +49 8652 9636-14, koenigssee@seenschifffahrt.de, or register using the ‘Online registration for groups’ form.
- Larger groups of 75 people or more must be divided between several boats.
- Last-minute reservations can only be made by telephone.
- If your number of participants decreases, you only need to notify us if it falls below 20 people.
- No reservations can be made for the return trip. However, we will endeavour to take your group on board together for the return trip. We will do our best to allow your group to board the same boat for the return trip. On busy days, it may be necessary to split groups.
- Tip: Return before 2.30 p.m. to avoid waiting times.
- Peak times at Königssee are the summer holidays, weekends in summer, public holidays, long weekends and regularly the first nice day after periods of rain.
- The journey time from Seelände to St. Bartholomä takes approx. 35 minutes. Allow approx. 15-20 minutes to visit the world-famous pilgrimage church in St. Bartholomä. In total, the visit to Königssee will take at least 1.5 hours.
- Tip: Plan your stay with plenty of time!
- On busy days, bottlenecks may occur. In addition, travel groups often lose extra time for toilet breaks on land, as there are no toilets on the boats.
On the day of travel:
- Please collect your tickets from the ticket office at least 30 minutes before the reserved departure time – otherwise your reservation will be canceled.
- Reserved groups will be given priority. The group leader may go directly to the ticket office without queuing.
- Payment: cash or card accepted.
- Please distribute the tickets to your group members before boarding.
- If you are delayed or have any changes, please inform the station master on tel. +49 8652 9636-96. We will then try to rebook you on a later journey (depending on capacity, no guarantee).

Please note that there are no toilets on the boats.
